Easter at BMUC

Celebrate with us this Easter!

Come and join us for fun and meaningful moments during this Easter season. Whether you are a first time guest or a long time member, we want to welcome you. We are planning both in-person (outdoor and socially distant) and virtual events during Easter week so mark these down in your calendar.

Safe and Socially Distant Easter Egg Hunt! – Saturday 4/3, drop in anytime 10am to 2pm

This year we are hosting something more like a hidden picture puzzle in our outdoor landscape. With three or four separate stations, children and their families will be asked to fill in the blanks using clues found among the flowers and plants. Each station will be at least 10 feet or more apart and we will ask all participants to please wear their masks during the event. After completing your worksheet, turn it in and pick out one egg per correct answer! You can bring your own basket if you wish, but we’ll have bags to collect your eggs that you can take home. It should be lots of fun with plenty of goodies for you and your family.

Flowering of the Cross – Saturday 4/3, drop in anytime 10am to 2pm

Our traditional Flowering of the Cross turns a plain wooden cross into a natural work of art. We will be hosting this event in the lower parking lot of the church (1710 Carleton Street) so if you’re coming by for the Easter Egg Hunt anyway, stop by! Each person or family group can come up one at a time and help to decorate our cross. We’ll be taking pictures throughout the day to create a time-lapsed film of the event to show during worship on Easter. We will have flowers available but if you have some – whether from your garden or the store – please bring them by. The more there is the better! Again, please wear masks and keep socially distant at all times.

Easter Worship – Sunday 4/4 @ 10:30am

Join us virtually for Sunday worship! No masks needed! Singing encouraged. Just click here on Sunday morning and enter passcode 171000 to ZOOM with us or come to our Facebook page and be part of our community. We will have live worship streamed online as we do each week that we hope you will find deeply meaningful. Plus, there’s the added benefit of joining us from the comfort of your home. Come as you are as we celebrate the real meaning of Easter.
